Friday Five: Fitness Snapshots

FITNESS SNAPSHOTS

I love pictures... & love the inspiration of when people post fitness pics.  I'm just not that sure I take a lot of them myself...

So let me dig into my Instagram & FB pages & see what I come up with

NOTE - I totally read the thing wrong - its supposed to be snapshots of the week, but I'm too lazy to change it - so call this a #BlogFail of the day... enjoy anyways...

1. First Run in over 10 weeks

This one was just last week when I finally put on my running shoes after being in T25 for 10 weeks.  Forgot how it felt to put one foot in front of the other like that.

2. Zombie got me

Did a Zombie run & you had flags hanging off of your belt you had to make it to the finish line with.  This Zombie nearly tackled me to the ground to get my last one around my waist.  DANG ZOMBIE!
I'm a sneak though - look in my hand behind her - I cupped one in my hand so I could finish with at least one life.
if she was going to take that one, I was going to use that fist.
I take things seriously sometimes.

3. Vacation Run

This was my favorite race of all time - the Big Hit 1/2 marathon ... & I found out they're not having it anymore.  Boo!  Tear.  But the hubs & I got to run it last year ... one last hurrah.  We were starting our vacation & kicked it off with a race... I loved that.  Love him.  Love that he does these with me.  He could hang with elite runners.  But he sticks with the back of the pack (aka me) & cheers me on the whole time, making races more fun.  Love is awesome.

4. Gettin' Blown

There was no way I could get in my car after this Color Run... I was drenched in green.  Thank goodness for women with blowing machines.  A sentence I never thought I'd say in life.

5. My all time favorite picture EVER

This is the race I made my PR of doing a half marathon under 3 hours. Not awesome for most - awesome for me.  & Ricky was on the side & came out with me to run & finish the last bit of it... holding my hand across the finish line.  I cried like a baby making my goal.  I still get chocked up when I remember the emotion of the day ... so glad to have him next to me.  Love. Again.

So visit with the ladies that host Friday Five & check out everyone else's snapshots today... I'm going to love this today.

  2. I love that last pic of you and your hubs crossing the finish line!! So sweet :0)

Race-cations are the BEST! Whenever I plan a non-racecation I can't help but check if there is a race going on nearby haha!

Oh, and personally, I like how you did the Friday 5 this week. I like seeing people's favorite running pictures, whether it be from this week or not!

  3. I love the last picture too! Three hours sounds like a good time to me.

It's a good thing that zombie didn't go for your last life. You mean business! I like the idea of a Zombie Run but some of the zombies look scary.

  5. I LOVE that he came out to support you like that at the end of your race! That picture is fantastic. :)
And I'm sorry the zombie got you, but good for you for even doing a zombie run. I really want to, but for some reason they give me anxiety haha.

  8. These are great pics. You and your husband are so cute! I've run two races with the bf but I always run faster than he does...mostly because I can never get him to actually run BEFORE the race lol.

  9. Great pictures, all of them seriously!!!! Great that you and your husband run races together, so fun! I think I told you this before, but I love that last picture so great!!!!
Hey, you mentioned on my blog that you read on another blog about someone who has nerve entrapment, do you know the name of their blog? I'd love to read about what they wrote, and see if I can ask them a few questions. Thanks!

  10. Love all these pictures! So much fun! I'm not sure how I'd react to a zombie run but I'm glad you saved a flag!

  11. Your zombie must be quite new, because it hasn't decayed much yet!

  12. Great pics! I've interpreted the Friday five wrong before and it's no big deal. I was asked to do a zombie race but I already have a bit of anxiety when I run. I imagine it would only get worse if I knew someone was chasing me! Smart thinking to save one of your flags!
