How the month went: April 2015

April

24 days worked out
17 days over 10,000 steps
9.45 miles done

I felt like I kicked April in the butt with my workouts!

Nothing marked out as "injured" or "Sick"... that's been on the last few months calendar so this one makes me happy.

My step count became a priority too.  & I'm so proud that I made it for a 8 day stretch over 10,000.  That inspires me because I'm taking the challenge of getting in 10,000 EVERY DAY for May ... so far so good on that too....

& see those little red stars?  Those are morning where I did a 5am work out as well.  They were usually a 5, 7 or 10 minute work out - depending when I got out of bed.

I have enjoyed doing those morning "Bootycall" workouts... BUT...

I'm not sure I'm going to continue them.

Why?  Because my weight has gone UP this month.. .like 4 lbs UP...

WHAT THE FREAKING BOLOGNA IS THAT?!?!?!?

I know, I know... I'm going to hear the thing about muscle is more & measuring & blah blah blah....

but nope.

I'm not buying it.

My weight is the highest EVER... & my clothes don't feel like 'muscle' is a factor.

I was so proud of my work outs for the month... & leaving April feeling depressed & defeated.

DANG IT!

Just dang it....

But I'm not giving up.

Thought I'm still in the air about the 5am workouts, I will continue the evening workouts & I will get my steps in....

I am focusing on my water intake
I know I need to focus more closely on my nutrition.
Something has to give with those things plus my exercising.

It just has to give....

  1. As always, I am impressed with your spreadsheet! You rocked those workouts girl and I give you props for getting up at 5 am for your booty calls! Nutrition and water intake is something that I am re-focusing on. Perhaps I need to make a spreadsheet for that!

  2. I love that spreadsheet and you're rocking it with the step counts! What's your water like at work? I mean, is it tasty or funky or do you need to add some flavor to it, like a lemon? I saw on another blog that the blogger is going to carry a gallon of water with her to work and challenged herself to drink that much water by quitting time each day and then some more when she got home. You could try something like that -- and bonus! extra steps for all the bathroom breaks! :-)

    1. Luckily, we have spring water at work... I think I'm the only one that drinks it so my goal is to finish the whole jug every month when the man comes with a refill. & YES MA'AM!!! ALL the steps are being increased with the mile walk to the bathroom. It's really a good thing its far away. Keeps me going. I even RAN to the bathroom this morning... I wait till the last minute. Every time.

  4. Those are very impressive step counts! Poo to that stubborn scale. Remember, it is just a number and not a reflection of your health or fitness. I try to stick with the rule to drink 1/2 your weight in ounces of water. Yep, there's a lot of potty breaks happening.

  7. Way to rock out the workouts! I'm not sure how you manage those 5am ones, but that is AWESOME! Do not worry too much about the scale (easier advice to give than to follow). I always fall behind in the water department and I think that really does affect how your metabolism works. Hang in there!!!

  8. Okay so, It kept popping up in my mind that you did 5, 7, and 10 minute workouts in the morning. I think I want to give this a try. Is there something special that you follow? I honestly would have no clue what to do in that short amount of time. lol
