Friday Five: Favorite Things |
Who doesn't love favorite things? I feel like Oprah ...
But I'm not giving anything away.
calm down
One. Kate Spade Planner
I am picky about planners & calendars & journals. I was doing a Bullet Journal for awhile & really really liked it. But it's not good for planning ahead & I need a calendar with the next year in front of my face. I had to make some adjustments on the pages that were for August - October to make it work for me & now its perfect. I have this planner with me every where I go.
TWO. Ginger Ale
I'm not a big soft drink person & I don't like the ingredients in Ginger Ale, but being sick lately, it's felt like a great treat to me. A 12 pack literally lasts me a month... so I'm not gorging in High Frustose Corn Syrup. But it is a favorite treat right now.
THREE. Knitting
No, this isn't made for a dog... but I had no one else to model it |
I am so thankful I found how to loom knit so I can still make knitted goodies. Its not as 'pretty' to me as regular knitting, but its something that keeps yarn in my hands - & makes me pretty neat cowls. I'm happy to say I've knitted a few Christmas gifts this year. Something I never thought I would be able to do again with my shoulder injury.
FOUR. Online Shopping
I haven't ever been a real on line shopper for Christmas but I have really taken advantage of it this year. On Thanksgiving, I was all about Kohl's & got the sales that would take place when the store opened. We always get their down comforters that are $24.99 for every size. Those things are the WARMEST blankets ever & I've been known to stand in line for HOURS to buy them every year. When I saw I could get them online, for free shipping & no lines to stand in? Oh yeah... a favorite thing.
FIVE. Young Living Diffuser
The dry air in all the buildings I am in lately is KILLING me. I feel like my throat & lungs are drying up to a jerky crisp. My eyes & lips are close behind. I'm going to be on the hunt for a humidifier this weekend but for right now, I'm enjoying my Young Living Diffuser that puts moisture in the air... with some lovely scents that you add.
I seriously brought it with me to work today. That's how much I need this right now.
What are some of your favorite things right now?

Some of my favorite things right now...my new Garmin, my slippers, and my new pajama pants! The knitting looks great! Wish I could do that!
ReplyDeleteI'm still truly shocked that anybody shops in real life anymore. For things other than clothes. I always have to try clothes on unfortunately but otherwise if I could do everything online and never stand in another line my life would be complete!
ReplyDeleteI love your doggie model! I need to try the diffuser. That's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI love Gingerale, and rarely meet others who do:) I'll drink it sick or not, LOL I am one of the few people who when the flight attendant comes around for drinks, I ask for Gingerale and most the time just get handed the entire can, LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you get feeling better soon!
Your pup models that well. I have been a huge fan of online shopping this year too. Especially this week w the cyber deals. May have bought some things for myself as well:) -L
ReplyDeleteI love your doggy model! And I would love to learn to knit...homemade gifts are the best in my opinion =)
ReplyDeleteIf not for online shopping I would still be Christmas shopping up to the very last minute. I'm so happy to be done!
ReplyDeleteAlso I am so jealous of your knitting talent. I have always wanted to learn and have tried to, but it always goes horribly wrong.
I so agree with the awesomeness of online shopping.
ReplyDeleteGinger ale is the only carbonated beverage I'll drink! :P
I have heard so many good things about the Young Living Diffuser. I guess I need to break down and try it out. lol. I love the hat you made! super adorable. Oh, the puppy is pretty adorable as well! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the photos if your dog modeling your knitting :) and I agree with you on the online shopping! I'm all about avoiding the lines and parking.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the online shopping! Totally addicted!
