All about Love today ....

It was fun to put some of the things I hate yesterday.  Love when I feel like I'm not alone & get the "I'm totally with you on that one"

& some of you asked me how the 'no complaining' thing went?  Well, it lasted for about 2 minutes.

I'm not even joking.

I was at work & my boss called because Humana was canceling his policy.  It's my job to keep all invoices paid- & that was paid... so what was the problem?  Anyways, sit on a phone for 15 minutes with recordings from a health insurance company & then finally talk to someone who is clueless & see if you don't complain.

But what I did notice was how easy it is to complain about things.

I started over again as soon as I got over the health insurance company bozo's & tried again... & I think I lasted another 10 minutes.

WOW... this is hard....

By the end of the day, I was VERY aware of the complaining & trying to reel it in.  & I think that is the point - to be aware of complaining.  I'm going to try again today & know I'm going to complain, but I'm going to see if I can complain less...

& in honor of all this, I'm changing my tune... I'm making a list of things I love.  Yesterday was the BLAH day... today is all about rainbows & butterflies... so here we go.  A much brighter list.

Things I love:

The heat already sitting in....

The heat is coming... we're actually 10 degrees over normal today & like 15 degrees over tomorrow.  Hello 90 degree temps.  Didn't expect to see you for awhile.

& yes, I was the first one complaining about winter....

Is this me today?

Well, I'm going to talk about the things I already see coming that I hate about the warm weather... but I'll find a silver lining in these things... so no one better punch me...

& if you try, be warned - I punch back... momma didn't raise no fool.

* I COULD complain about my frizzy hair.  I don't care what I do to my hair. I could literally stand under a faucet of olive oil or grease & let it flow on my head & I'll step outside & I'll still turn into Rosanna Rosanna Danna... every time...

If you don't know who this is... ask your mom
SILVER LINING

* I COULD complain about BUGS.EVERYWHERE!!!!   Now, everyone that knows me knows I love all animals - even bugs. I'm the one who saves them & takes them outside & puts them in flowers or bushes & says, "Go - be free - enjoy life" (Yes, I really do that) But bugs in mega doses gives me the willies... & especially ticks.  I can't handle ticks.  I pulled one off of Harvey last night & then instantly feel like I have ticks sucking the blood out of me all over my head.  We won't even mention the spider I saw last night the size of the palm of my hand....

SILVER LINING - I have to think of Bugs from Disney & they are all just a misunderstood community... except for Ticks... they are shunned from this community

Bugs need love too ... except ticks..

* I COULD complain about leather seats.... with wearing shorts or shorter skirts, when I get in my car after work... YAYYZZHHAAA!!!!!!  The back of my legs are scalded.

SILVER LINING - I'll just think of it as a heat therapy for my aching body....

________________

* I COULD complain about the grass growing every time you look at it.    I'll complain about this one for my husband who cuts it... constantly... every day....
Doesn't it seem like you cut it & especially if it rains, you have an instant FIELD right there in your yard again.  If only my hair would grow like that.

SILVER LINING ... it's giving a home to those bug communities I was talking about earlier

______________

* I COULD complain about allergies.  That grass I was talking about... yeah... add that in with tree pollen. I'm a goner. My eyes are running, my throat is closing.  I want to scratch my skin off.  It's such a good look for spring & summer.  Something you don't see often though on runways.

SILVER LINING - I'll suffer through it to see anything but bare trees. That's so depressing to me.

I COULD complain about being a beach cabana girl for my dogs.  They have fur on - I get it. I wouldn't want to wear fur on hot days.  So they are panting & constantly drinking up the water.  Having 4 dogs - that's a lot of water bowls... & they are emptying them before I can even sit down.  We have 2 water bowls outside... 2 in the kitchen... 2 in the bedrooms.  I'm constantly filling them up, checking on them.  Even in the middle of the night, Sydney will bark & wake us up to fill the bowl up with FRESH water. Yes, my dogs are spoiled.

This could very well be my dog

SILVER LINING - everything about it - I'd carry water pitchers from my body if it made my dogs happy :)  love my fur babies

I COULD complain about sweat... Now, I like to sweat at certain points of the day.  Working out, running?  Yes, bring on the sweat.  But I hate doing photo sessions & having the sweat run down my back... eww... or getting out of my car (& those dang leather seats we mentioned earlier) & having my shirt stick to my back & have sweat marks & have to go back into work after lunch.  I need clothing invented that doesn't show sweat.  & please, don't bring back the hyper color clothing of the 80's the enhanced your sweat.

SILVER LINING - its like a sauna treatment for your skin every day

What aggravates you about Spring & Summer coming?
& what's your silver lining?

Kid Snippets: Runners

Have you ever seen the videos on You Tube called "Kid Snippets"?

They take kids & give them a topic or a situation & just let their imagination run wild...

then they get adults to act out what they say...

they are adorable - & hilarious...

But I found this one on Running & had to share...

here's a smile for your day...

Just think of Jesus :)

Yoga with dogs....& a touch of Darth vadar.. what?

I tried a new work out yesterday...

it was the "Happy Fitness March" challenge... try something new.

Wednesday is usually my yoga day & I thought, I'll try one of those yoga work outs that my friend talks about all the time.  That's something new.

First of all - HOLY YOGA COW.  That sucker was HARD!!!!  Its called "Yoga for Weight Loss - 40 minute Fat Burning yoga Workout" by Yoga with Adriene.

It wasn't so much a 'fat burning' as 40 minutes later, my heart rate monitor said I only burned 160 calories... disappointing... but mercy, my body was shaking & doing everything to tell me, "Don't ever do that again"...

which means we'll be doing that again.

It worked more on the core then any other yoga I've ever done... something I need desperately.... & a LOT of planks & holds with the upper body... something else I really need.

Truth be told - I need it all.  I find in these things I have zippo, zero, nada strength.

I sent my friend a message that recommended these videos to me & I told her that I now realize my body is made up of nothing but 'blob'... that has to be the case.

how I feel during yoga

Here I am doing the work out... Notice anything?

Yeah... Harvey was laying on me the whole time...

if he wasn't laying ON me, he was doing this...

I know its blurry, but that's what you get when my abs are shaking from slowly dying

I had to laugh because I had to keep getting into downward dog & then I look around my mat & this is what I see...

Media preview

A whole new level of what "Downward Dog" means...

& don't despair ... Zoe was up on the couch watching me too.

I just wonder if my breathing freaked them out... after all, I sounded like Darth Vadar with all the deep breaths I had to take to make it through the work out.  My dogs were worried for me.

You really can find anything on the internet

I need to make a work out on how to work out around dogs... it makes it interesting...

My 28th Million Dollar Idea!

Workout Videos make me feel like I'm a Dancing Queen...

Dancing Queen... flash backs of ABBA...

I was going to title this as "makes me feel like I'm on Club MTV" which REALLY is a flash back.  Downtown Julie Brown would appreciate me though.

Fun Fact - I went to the Club MTV Concert where Milli Vanilli was the main show!

I always love a good workout video.  Just because you can put on the worse outfit ever & no one cares.

I did Jazzercise for almost 20 years.  Seriously!  I started when I was 17 years old.  LOVED IT... everything about it.  But when my schedule changed & we moved far away from everything the world offers (country living at its finest) & I found a Jazzercise class, their schedule didn't work with mine....

alas, back to home videos.

But they make fun exercise videos to get your groove on.  No offense to Stella.

Last night, I tried a new one.

Because work outs need big hoop earrings

I laugh when they put the instructors in cool khaki baggy pants, like they're really in a club...

One part, we did a march in place move... & then she said, Move those shoulders.  "Now the step just turned into a dance move"

See - he's using his shoulders... its a DANCE MOVE!... maybe...

Get me to a club ASAP!

I know... I know... a lot of these are corny...

But in my mind, when I put on a dance workout DVD, I turn instantly into J-Lo...

Or Liz Lemon

thatssotrue_com_1257_1329759570

even in my mis-matched sweats

.....

On a work out side, it does have a different 10 minute standing ab workout... which only taught me that I could NEVER EVER be a belly dancer...

but again, in my own basement, I was the best belly dancer in the world!
